This was my first time experiencing a veggie slicer. I LOVE pasta and I eat pasta all the time, so knowing that this would be a great pasta substitute was a really cool thing for me. The most popular vegetable used with this is zucchini but I used cucumber for my dish and it turned out amazing! I've also seen recipes where they use carrots and they look amazing. The spiral slicer was much easier to use than I thought it was going to be, the blades on the slicer is really sharp so the vegetable goes right through the blades. Another thing I was worried about was my noodles not coming out as long as I wanted them to be but they came out really long and they didn't cut off every couple inches. If you want the recipe for the dish I made its: http://theleancleaneatingmachine.com/2013/10/31/creamy-garlic-zucchini-noodles/ one thing I changed was instead of using yeast as a topping I suggest Parmesan cheese to really get into the veggie as pasta mind set.
