I have had experience with drip style coffee but I've always used the disposable kind. Drip style coffee is a great alternative to drinking coffee if you don't have a keurig machine. When I first saw this filter I thought the water would run out the sides so I immediately did a water test to see if it would pour out all over the place. The double filter doesn't allow the water to leave the side and it only comes out from the bottom. This drip filter has a thing that allows you to let the filter rest on top of the cup so you don't have to hold the filter while you let the water drip out. At first the water comes out quickly if you pour a lot in but if you only pour in a little at a time then the water will take its time coming out of the filter.
